Our Story

HCP was formally established in 2013 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of helping the poor and underprivileged of Honduras become self-sufficient.

We accomplish this by building relationships and meeting the practical needs of people.

Our Vision

In La Paz, many people have limited access to education, clean water, and sanitized restrooms; however, through our various educational classes as well as our water filter and latrine installments, our vision is to provide opportunities to enhance self-sufficiency, healthy living, and dignity within the La Paz community.

What are those practical needs?

80% of people in La Paz don’t have access to clean water

50% of people in La Paz don’t have a sanitary bathroom option

The poor have very limited access to medical care

How does HCP meet those practical needs?

We organize and send short term mission teams who:

  • Install clean water filter systems, latrines, and concrete floors in homes
  • Equip medical clinics and provide medical and dental brigades
  • Equip and train local firefighters & EMS personnel
  • Serve in our International Training Center which teaches people how to be self-sufficient
  • Build relationships with families
  • Feed the hungry
